DelayPlay
DelayPlay was a concept born out of frustration caused by watching sporting events on TV while listening to our favorite radio announcers call the game on the radio. The delay caused by Digital TV resulted in hearing the play seconds before seeing it unfold on TV. Knowing the result of a Field Goal attempt before the ball was even snapped was annoying at best...unacceptable to most. People tuned out and resigned themselves to listening to the TV commentators.
DelayPlay is currently out of stock and unavailable. Please contact us at support@scannermaster.com if you are interested in this product.
DelayPlay changes all of that. A user now has the option to delay the radio broadcast to more closely match the action on the field.
The number of Digital TV viewers, both Cable and Satellite, is increasing at a very rapid pace. Even local Terrestrial Broadcast stations that you used to pull in with rabbit ears are broadcasting in digital as mandated by the FCC. The number of viewers with Digital Set Top Boxes (STB) used to acquire these signals is growing even faster than expected. The process used to create Digital TV is the reason for the delay…as much as 8 seconds or more in the case of Satellite Dish viewers.

0 to 16 second Nearly Infinitely Variable delay. Dial in the exact delay that’s right for your combination of Digital TV/Radio broadcast.
Your unit can adjust for that. Watching the Chicago Bears on Fox via Comcast cable today, I experienced the opposite - seeing the play seconds before hearing about it on local radio (WBBM AM 780). Does you unit adjust for that?
Most of Chicago area has the opposite problem of hearing the radio account before the TV. Most places it's about 5 to 7 seconds. However, depending on your cable source you may not have the problem, yet. Since all TVs will be HDTV by 2012 the TV delay will become more pronounced, and therefore radio will be ahead of the TV account. I have some DelayPlay users in who use their DVR to delay TV signal, then have the XT16 on a longer delay to match up the picture and the TV.
What kind of quality is the sound output?
True stereo HiFi quality capability. Quality will depend on your AM/FM source and your output.

"A huge part of the loyalty associated with Carolina basketball is the desire of many fans to hear the radio broadcasts while watching the TV coverage. In an era of satellite transmission delays they have that opportunity with the use of DelayPlay."

I'm a New York sports fan who's been looking for something like this for years.
I'm extremely interested in your product. It's the answer to my prayers for watching the Eagles game while listening to Meryl Reese.

I recently purchased a DelayPlayRadio from your web site and I think it is great. I've told several of my friends about it and many of them want to buy one for their own.
Thanks -- it looks like a neat product, just what a lot of Packer fans around here are looking for.
Hi,
Love the concept. Wondering if anything in the works to have an Australian version with 240V power supply rather than 110V? Also, digital television really taking off in Australia, you really should find a distributor here for the product.
Matt
I and my friend have been looking for something like this since we both got cable, especially digital cable. I reeeeeeeally dislike network TV announcing as a rule.
Outstanding! Really looking forward to it.
I would also like to comment how happy I was to find your product on the internet. I have satellite TV but love listening to my home town broadcasters on the radio.
